What Makes a Good Landlord?

For many tenants, an unreasonable landlord can be a real pain to deal with - even if the location of the apartment complex or building is good, it is in a good neighborhood, the place is very accessible to work and other important places, the utilities and facilities are great, having a bad landlord can simply ruin everything. This is why having a good landlord is one of the things you should consider whenever you are looking for an apartment.   The best way to get to know your landlord is to look for several references he can provide - usually people who've rented from him. These people will be able to give you the information you need to be able to discern whether it's a good decision to have the person who gave their contact information to you as a landlord. It is also important that you check the credentials and identities of this people - nothing too extensive though - so you can also verify the veracity of their statements.   It may seem to be a bit tedious, but in the long run, it will serve you well. Just like in any business partnership, it is important that both parties are reasonable and not hard to work with. If not, it will only result in more trouble for you.
